She was named Nigeria, after Niger river in 1890’s by a British Journalist Flora Shaw. And on the 1st of October 1960 she gained her independence from the British colonization.
Within the 63 years of Nigerian independence, she has gone ahead to amass over 200 million population, with more than 250 ethnic tribes, making her arguably the most populous country in African!
Today, Nigerian and Nigeria lovers, including the ambassador of Nigeria to the Netherlands, Her Excellency Dr Eniola Ajayi, former Ekiti state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, and the honourable commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Ekiti State, Professor Ojo Bakare Rasaki converged at Zalen centrum Kristal in The Hague, The Netherlands.
